Liz has been volunteering with the BCSRT since early 2000, sitting on many different boards and committees. She holds a master’s degree in Health Sciences (Athabasca) as well as a fellowship with the CSRT. Liz has worked in a variety of different places and leadership/clinical positions in BC, but most currently is the CPAP Coordinator/Educator for the VCH Sleep Disorders Program. She is also professional practice leader to the Provincial Respiratory Outreach Program (PROP), does on-call clinical work for PROP and is an accreditation surveyor with both the Diagnostic Accreditation Program and Accreditation Canada. Additionally she is an active volunteer within the CSRT as a peer reviewer and in the community, working with kids through the World in A Garden project that teaches children about plants and how to grow their own food.

Mike has been working as Respiratory Therapist for more than ten years. After graduating from TRU, Mike gained clinical experience at both Royal Columbian Hospital and Peace Arch Hospital. Mike has held several practice leadership positions in Fraser Health including Professional Practice Leader at Delta and Royal Columbian Hospital. He is currently employed as the Regional Practice Leader for Respiratory Therapy. In terms of education, Mike has completed a Bachelor in Health Science (TRU) and an Executive Masters of Business Administration in Health Care (UBC). Professional interests include the standardization and integration of care, interprofessional practice, and practice transitions.

Scott graduated from TRU in 1995 working briefly in Victoria at RJH and VGH as a staff therapist before moving to Vancouver in 1996. In Vancouver Scott worked as a staff therapist and part-time clinical site coordinator for TRU at VGH from 1996-2003; leaving VGH for St Paul’s to fulfill the role of full-time clinical site coordinator from 2003-2007. Scott then worked in the private sector for Covidien before returning to the public health sector in 2009 as Professional Practice Leader at Richmond Hospital.

Tom graduated from the Algonquin College Respiratory Therapy Program in 1979 and completed his Master of Education Degree at Simon Fraser University in 1994. Early in his career he worked in a variety of hospitals in Ontario and BC. In 1995 Tom started his teaching career as the Clinical Site Coordinator at St Paul’s Hospital moving to what is now Thompson Rivers University in 1988 where he is currently teaching. Tom has a long history of been active in Respiratory Therapy societies both provincially and nationally. Some of the positions he has held in the past include BCSRT Director at Large, President of the CSRT and Chair of the Council on Accreditation of Respiratory Therapy Education.
